We all have a secret weapon to make sure “luck” is on your side.

What % of sales success is due to luck? It’s higher than you think.
Good news - we all have a secret weapon to make sure “luck” is on your side.

Salespeople know that you can do all the right things (Talent) but it won’t matter if there isn’t a pressing need (Timing) for your Customer (Territory).

There's many factors at play that can create "luck" when you try to close a deal.

Timing - Has the AE walked into a deal that the customer has already decided to move forward with? Has a previous AE nurtured that deal so it’s “ready” to be closed?

Territory - Who are the customers that make up the territory? Is this segment growing fast? Is the industry doing well and fueling growth?

Talent - What work has the AE done? What skills and effort have they exhibited while navigating the sales process?

But, there is one really important factor in every deal that can make all the difference.

The role of a great Teacher cannot be understated.

Why?

The right Teacher can allow you to capitalize on luck and create your own luck when things aren’t going your way.

Without a great Teacher, even the most talented AEs can struggle to understand how to leverage timing and territory effectively.

They may miss opportunities to learn from setbacks or grow from their experiences.

A good Teacher fosters a culture of continuous improvement, enabling AEs to adapt and evolve in a fast-changing market.

In a world where the right timing and territory can set the stage for success, it’s the Teacher who helps salespeople turn potential into results.
